Roxbury residents are looking forward to the construction of the 1 million-square-foot, $300 million Tremont Crossing with a sense of “urgency,” City Councilor Tito Jackson told the Herald yesterday.

“This designation occurred five years ago so the community is awaiting a project and awaiting the opportunity to unleash on the construction jobs and the permanent jobs there,” Jackson said. “This is a major development being brought to our part of the city of Boston.”
